MavenPilot Cookie Policy
| Version | 2026-10-18 |
| Effective date | 18 October 2026 |
| Provider | MAVEN VERSE S.R.L. |
This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage used on the public WordPress pages of www.mavenpilot.com. The MavenRoute planner and MavenScene application use their own browser storage for application functions and, in MavenRoute, planner usage statistics, described in our Privacy Policy. Accepting website cookies is separate from accepting the Terms of Use for your MavenPilot account and from choosing promotional emails.
1. Your choices
We use necessary cookies to remember your cookie choices. Matomo statistics start only after you allow Statistics. Refusing optional cookies does not prevent you from reading the website. External videos have a separate choice.
Use Accept to allow the optional categories shown, Deny to refuse those categories, or View preferences to choose categories individually and save your preferences. You can reopen Manage consent at any time, including from this page. Optional categories are not preselected. Withdrawing consent stops future optional tracking; it does not undo processing that already took place.
The banner choices control Matomo statistics and external video players. Remembering your details for comments is a separate choice in the comment form. Gravatar avatar images load independently of these banner choices, as explained below.
2. Necessary cookies
Complianz stores your cookie preferences on this website. These cookies record whether you allowed statistics or external media, which services you allowed, the policy identifier and whether the banner has been answered. They are used to apply your choices, not for advertising.
| Cookie | Purpose | Browser lifetime |
cmplz_functional, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_marketing |
Remember category choices. The internal name marketing is used for the external-media category; we do not run advertising on this website. |
Up to 365 days |
cmplz_consented_services |
Remember choices for individual external services, when used. | Up to 365 days |
cmplz_policy_id, cmplz_banner-status |
Remember the policy identifier and whether you have answered the banner. | Up to 365 days |
WordPress may also use authentication and security cookies when an authorised administrator signs in to its administration area. Those are not visitor-statistics cookies and are not required to read public pages.
3. Optional website statistics: Matomo
We use Matomo, hosted with our website, to understand visits, pages viewed, referrals, downloads and link clicks. Analytics requests reach our own website rather than Google Analytics. Technical information can include the visited page, referrer, browser/device information, IP address and a pseudonymous visitor identifier. We use these statistics to operate and improve the website, not to advertise or to inspect your private missions, photographs or MavenScene results.
| Cookie | Purpose | Browser lifetime |
_pk_id.* |
Recognise a returning visitor for website statistics. | Up to 13 months |
_pk_ses.* |
Associate page views with a visit. | Up to 30 minutes |
_pk_ref.* |
Remember referral information when recorded. | Up to 6 months |
These are first-party cookies on www.mavenpilot.com. They are not essential and are used only with your statistics choice enabled. When you withdraw that choice, Matomo tracking stops and its analytics cookies are removed. The table describes browser-cookie lifetimes; server-side statistical records and technical logs have separate retention, as explained in the Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics and Google AdSense are not used on this website. Cookies left from an earlier visit or from another website can remain in your browser until they expire or you remove them. This website cannot delete cookies belonging to another provider's domain.
4. Optional comment-detail cookies
When a comment form is available, you can tick its separate checkbox to remember your name, email address and website in this browser for a later comment. These first-party WordPress cookies are not required to leave a comment, do not sign you into a MavenPilot account and do not subscribe you to promotional emails. You can remove them through your browser settings. If a later comment is submitted without this choice, WordPress clears the corresponding remember-detail cookies.
| Cookie | Purpose | Browser lifetime |
comment_author_{hash} |
Remember the name you entered in the comment form. | Normally up to one year |
comment_author_email_{hash} |
Remember the email address you entered in the comment form. | Normally up to one year |
comment_author_url_{hash} |
Remember the optional website address you entered in the comment form. | Normally up to one year |
The suffix identifies this website. These browser lifetimes do not determine how long the comment itself remains on the website; comment retention and privacy requests are explained in our Privacy Policy.
5. Comment and author avatars: Gravatar
WordPress displays author and commenter avatars using Gravatar, an Automattic service. To show these images, your browser contacts Gravatar directly. The image address contains a hash derived from the author's or commenter's email address; this is not the email address of every reader viewing the page. Gravatar also receives the reader's IP address, browser information and request details, including any referrer permitted by the browser. A hash is not a guarantee of anonymity.
Avatar images currently load even after you select Deny for website statistics and external media, and even if you do not leave a comment. An image request is distinct from placing a cookie: loading an avatar does not mean you agreed to Matomo statistics or an external video player. Any provider-side cookies or storage depend on the content, browser and account state. See Automattic's Privacy Policy for its processing.
6. Website downloads
We use Download Monitor to deliver downloadable website files and record downloads. Depending on the download method, it can set a first-party cookie to recognise a recent download and avoid recording the same download repeatedly within a short period.
| Cookie | Purpose | Browser lifetime |
wp-dlm_cookie |
Link a recent download to short-lived download-control state. | About one minute by default; another download can refresh it |
This download mechanism is separate from Matomo statistics and its banner choice. The cookie contains a reference to server-side download state. Its expiry does not delete the separate download records, which can include IP address, browser information, file/version reference, time, outcome, the requesting page and a WordPress user reference if signed in. Our Privacy Policy describes those records and their retention. Refusing Matomo statistics is not a request to erase those server records.
7. External videos and links
Some pages offer YouTube videos. Loading an embedded player connects your browser to YouTube/Google, which receives technical information such as your IP address, browser information and the page or video requested, and may use its own cookies or storage. Embedded players are subject to the external-media choice. Refusing that category keeps optional embedded content blocked; you may instead follow a link to the provider's own website, where its policies apply.
A page can also load a video thumbnail from YouTube's image servers. That image request discloses technical request information to the image provider even if you have not started a video; it is not itself permission for website statistics or an embedded player. See Google's Privacy Policy for its processing. The cookies of an external service depend on the content loaded and your interaction with it; we do not present an old automatic cookie scan as a verified list of those cookies.
Ordinary links to app stores and other external websites do not enable our website statistics. If you follow them, the destination's own privacy and cookie information applies.
8. Browser controls and contact
You can also inspect, block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Clearing the choice cookies makes the banner ask again. Some browsers block third-party storage independently of your website choice. Browser settings do not delete statistical records already stored on a server.
