Terms of Use
Last updated: May 15, 2026
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of MavenPilot, MavenRoute, MavenShare, MavenCloud and related services available through mavenpilot.com and associated web applications (the “Service”).
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. About the Service
MavenPilot provides web-based tools for planning, editing, importing, exporting, previewing and sharing drone missions, including survey, photogrammetry and waypoint missions for compatible DJI drones and related applications.
The Service may include mission planning tools, map views, elevation data, export tools, cloud mission storage, shared mission links, public mission features, account login, and related utilities.
The Service is provided by Maven Verse SRL, Romania (“we”, “us”, “our”).
2. No Flight Authority or Safety Guarantee
The Service is a planning and file-generation tool only. It does not operate your drone, authorize any flight, guarantee flight safety, or replace your responsibility as pilot or operator.
You are solely responsible for:
- checking all mission parameters before flight;
- complying with all applicable aviation, drone, privacy, safety and local regulations;
- maintaining visual line of sight where required;
- verifying airspace restrictions, geofencing, weather, terrain, obstacles, people, property and environmental risks;
- ensuring that your drone, controller, batteries, firmware, software and mobile apps are suitable for the planned mission;
- confirming that exported files are correctly imported and interpreted by the target app or aircraft system.
You must not rely on the Service as your only source of safety, terrain, obstacle, elevation, airspace or regulatory information.
3. Mission Accuracy and Compatibility
The Service may calculate routes, waypoints, camera angles, overlaps, ground sampling distance, altitude, speed, timing, photo intervals, KMZ files, CSV files or other mission data.
These calculations are estimates and may be affected by map data, elevation data, aircraft limitations, camera presets, app compatibility, firmware behavior, rounding, import/export constraints and user settings.
You must review and test every mission before using it in real flight. We do not guarantee that any exported mission will be accepted, interpreted correctly, executed safely or executed identically by DJI Fly, DJI Pilot 2, Maven, Maven EVO or any other third-party application.
4. Accounts
Some features may require an account, including cloud mission storage, extended export use, mission sharing or other online features.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep your email address available for account-related communications.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, create security risks, abuse the Service, attempt to bypass limits, or use the Service unlawfully.
5. Guest Use and Usage Limits
Some features may be available without an account. Guest usage may be limited, including limits on KMZ exports or other features.
We may change guest limits, account limits, storage limits, export limits or feature availability at any time to protect the Service, prevent abuse or support future development.
6. User Content and Mission Data
You may create, upload, save, share, publish or export mission-related data through the Service (“User Content”). This may include mission names, waypoints, polygons, coordinates, altitude settings, camera settings, tags, previews and related mission configuration.
You retain ownership of your User Content. By using cloud, sharing or public mission features, you grant us a limited license to host, store, process, display, transmit and technically adapt your User Content only as needed to operate and improve the Service.
You are responsible for your User Content and for ensuring that you have the right to upload, share or publish it.
Do not upload, share or publish content that is illegal, harmful, infringing, confidential without authorization, unsafe, abusive, or intended to enable unlawful activity.
7. Shared and Public Missions
If you share a mission link or publish a mission publicly, other users may be able to view, copy, import or use that mission data.
Do not share sensitive locations, private property details, security-related information, personal data or confidential operational data unless you have the right to do so.
We may remove shared or public missions at our discretion if they appear to violate these Terms, create legal or safety risks, or affect the operation of the Service.
8. Third-Party Services
The Service may rely on third-party services, software or platforms, including mapping providers, authentication providers, cloud storage, analytics/logging tools, email delivery services, DJI-compatible formats and browser technologies.
Third-party services may have their own terms, privacy policies, limits, outages, pricing, data practices and technical restrictions. We are not responsible for third-party services, third-party apps, aircraft firmware, map data, elevation data or changes made by external providers.
References to DJI, DJI Fly, DJI Pilot 2, Maven, Maven EVO, Mapbox, Google, Firebase or other names do not imply endorsement, partnership or affiliation unless expressly stated.
9. Prohibited Use
You must not use the Service to:
- violate laws, aviation rules, export controls, privacy rights or third-party rights;
- plan or support unsafe, illegal, harmful or unauthorized drone operations;
- interfere with, overload, reverse engineer, scrape, attack or bypass the Service;
- access another user’s account, missions or data without permission;
- upload malware, malicious files or harmful content;
- remove, obscure or misuse intellectual property notices;
- attempt to bypass authentication, export limits, storage limits or security controls.
10. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its software, interface, design, code, logos, graphics, documentation, workflows and related materials, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service. You may use the Service only as permitted by these Terms.
11. Availability and Changes
We may modify, suspend, limit or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, including features, cloud functions, export formats, map engines, storage, account functionality or sharing tools.
We may also update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify users through the Service or by other appropriate means. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, regarding accuracy, reliability, availability, fitness for a particular purpose, compatibility, safety, non-infringement, uninterrupted operation, or error-free performance.
We do not warrant that mission files, route calculations, camera calculations, elevation data, map data, previews, imports, exports or cloud features will be accurate, complete, current, safe or suitable for real-world flight.
13. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, punitive or exemplary damages, including loss of data, lost profits, business interruption, aircraft damage, property damage, personal injury, regulatory penalties, failed missions, unsafe flights or claims arising from your drone operations.
Your use of the Service and any mission generated through it is at your own risk.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where such exclusion or limitation is not permitted by applicable law.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses arising from your use of the Service, your User Content, your drone operations, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, created risk for other users or the Service, used the Service unlawfully, or abused account, export, storage or sharing features.
16. Privacy
Your use of the Service is also subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect personal data.
If the Service processes personal data, you are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with applicable privacy laws, especially when mission data contains identifiable locations, private property information or information relating to other people.
17. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Romania, unless mandatory consumer protection laws require otherwise.
Any dispute will be handled by the competent courts of Romania, unless applicable law provides a different mandatory forum.
