DJI SDK 5.13 & Maven EVO 2.0 roadmap

๐Ÿš€ Great news for DJI Mini 4 Pro pilots! ๐Ÿš€

DJI has just released SDK 5.13, bringing official support for the Mini 4 Pro! ๐ŸŽ‰

This means an update for Maven EVO is coming soon, adding full compatibility with the Mini 4 Pro.

๐Ÿ”œ Maven EVO Roadmap for DJI Mini 4 Pro Support ๐Ÿš€

We’re working hard to bring Maven to the DJI Mini 4 Pro, and hereโ€™s our roadmap:

โœ… Step 1: We’ve ordered a Mini 4 Pro with DJI RC-N2, which is required for third-party apps. This is the first step toward full compatibility.

๐Ÿ›  Step 2 (1-2 weeks): The first Maven update will roll out, bringing full support for the Mini 4 Pro with all the powerful features from Maven EVO, including:
๐Ÿ”น GPS Follow
๐Ÿ”น VR Mode
๐Ÿ”น Waypoint Missions (Virtual Stick)

๐Ÿš€ Step 3 (Another 1-2 weeks): A second update will add full support for Onboard Waypoint Missions, unlocking even greater mission planning capabilities!

Stay tuned for more updates โ€“ the wait wonโ€™t be long! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Maven: Next-Level Mission Planning with 3D Previews & KML Export!

๐Ÿš€ New Features

๐Ÿ”น Advanced Mission Planning Tools:

๐ŸŽฅ 3D Flight Preview for Realistic Mission Simulation (In-App)

A game-changing feature! The 3D flight preview allows you to visualize the droneโ€™s behavior during the mission execution in real-time.
โœ… An essential tool to verify mission settings before takeoff and prevent mistakes.
โœ… The simulation runs in real-time, accurately reflecting speed and mission parameters.
โœ… You can speed up playback, pause, and scrub forward or backward.
โœ… The drone’s position remains visible on the map throughout the preview.

๐ŸŒ Mission Export to KML for Google Earth and Earth Pro
For an even more immersive experience, you can now export your mission in KML format and open it in Google Earth.
โœ… The KML file includes the flight animation, POI placemarks, and the mission path polyline.
โœ… Note: Google Earth (mobile app) and Google Earth (web) do not support automatic flight animations.
โœ… To view the full mission flight animation, use Google Earth Pro on PC or Mac (available for free download).

๐Ÿ“ก Drone Field of View (FOV) Visualization on the Map
Now, when setting a waypoint, you can instantly see the area that the drone will capture. This helps you plan your shots better and avoid unexpected surprises during the flight.

๐Ÿ”น More Precise Exposure Control:
๐Ÿ“ธ Manual shutter speed selection for better control over your shots.
๐Ÿ“ท Improved manual ISO selection to optimize exposure in all lighting conditions.

๐Ÿ›  Improvements & Optimizations:
โœ”๏ธ Various bug fixes and performance optimizations for a smoother and more stable experience.

๐Ÿ’ก We’ve worked hard on this update, and weโ€™re thrilled to share it with you! We canโ€™t wait to hear your feedbackโ€”let us know what you think!

โญ Enjoying this free update? Please consider leaving us a 5-star rating on Google Play Store! ๐ŸŒŸ to show your appreciation.ย
Your support helps us reach more drone pilots like you and continue improving the app. ๐Ÿš€

๐Ÿ“ Notes

๐Ÿš€ The new Mission Preview feature is already available in Maven 2.2 (Android) and Maven EVO 1.2. It will be available for Maven (iOS) in a few weeks.

โš ๏ธ Mission Preview Limitations:
๐Ÿ”ธ The preview cannot tilt the camera above the horizon. If such movement is programmed, the preview will still be locked at the horizon. ย However, in the actual mission, if the drone supports it, it will look up as expected.
๐Ÿ”ธ The preview does not simulate waypoint actions, such as gimbal or drone rotations.
๐Ÿ”ธ Real-world factors may cause differences between the simulation and actual flight execution

๐Ÿš€ Maven EVO 1.2.1 is here! ๐ŸŽ‰

  • Added white balance settings
  • Added exposure compensation settings

Update now and enjoy more control over your camera! ๐Ÿ“ทโœจ

Maven vs Maven Lite

what is the difference between Maven and Maven Lite?

Maven is our app for iOS based devices, it was developed from 2017 till now and contains all features shown on this site.

Maven Lite is our Android version released in late December 2022
The app contains fewer features than its iOS counterpart but will be constantly updated in the coming months until it reaches full Maven functionality

Update March 2023: added VR mode

Here is the list of differences:

it might seem that Maven Lite is very limited, but still the virtual copilot allows you to perform these functions:

  • POI spotlight
  • GPS Follow/Track ME
  • Cable Cam
  • Automatic Orbit

as mentioned earlier maven lite will be updated until deserving the name maven! This page will be updated as progress progresses!

Maven For Android – (beta)

###24/12/2022 update Maven Lite is now available for download on Google Play

original post:

The application is in a beta stage and we are working to reach the Play Store as soon as possible.

At launch the application will have very limited functions and will then be completed with subsequent updates

The android app will be called “Maven Lite” until it is fully functional of its iOS counterpart

The first feature available at launch will be the “virtual co-pilot” and will have all the capabilities of the iOS version including, follow me, orbit me, and cable cam

The variety of android devices is so high that we can’t be sure it works on every device, and we can’t test them all, so to avoid selling you an application that might not work we decided that you can download and try the application for free.

It will be impossible to record videos from the drone while using the virtual co-pilot. Video recording will be unlocked via an in app purchase.

This is one of the last tests:

Test with Maven for Android

IMPORTANT, currently Maven for Android is NOT available for download on any store or site. Until its availability is announced on this page, any “APK” you find on the internet is in all probability a scam
